Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 18, 2026  ยท  Effective: September 18, 2026

The short version

A plain-English summary. It isn't a substitute for the full policy below, but it's the part that actually matters day to day.

  • June works over text. To be useful, she stores what you send her and what she learns from it: your family's schedule, lists, reminders and the people in it.
  • Your family's context stays in your family's threads. June never uses or displays your calendars, lists or reminders in a carpool or other outside group thread.
  • A household is one shared context by design. What you tell June in your family thread, your partner can ask about and get an answer to.
  • June is for adults 18 and over. Kids don't text June themselves for now, but you can tell June about them (their schedules, activities and the like) so she can help your family.
  • We don't sell your personal information, and we don't let our AI providers use your messages to train their general-purpose models.
  • Text STOP to any June number to stop messages. Email us to get a copy of your data or have it deleted.

Who we are

June is a text-message assistant for family logistics, operated by RVM PJG, Inc., doing business as June ("June", "we", "us"). We are the controller of the personal information described in this policy.

You can reach us any time at hello@junehelp.com.

What this policy covers

This policy covers the information we handle when you text with June, when June takes part in a group text you've added her to, and when you visit our website.

It does not cover your mobile carrier, your phone's messaging app, or any third-party service you separately choose to use. Messages travel over your carrier's network before they reach us, and your carrier's own terms and privacy practices apply to that leg of the trip.

Information we collect

Information you give us

  • Phone numbers. Yours, and the numbers of people you ask June to include: your partner and other people in a group thread.
  • Names and relationships. Who is in your household, including your children, nicknames, and how people are related to you.
  • Message content. Everything you text June, including photos, screenshots and documents you send.
  • Forwarded material. School emails, invitations, permission slips, sign-up sheets and flyers you forward so June can pull out the date, the deadline and what you need to bring. This material often contains other people's information (teachers, coaches, organizers, other children), which we process only to do the task you asked for.
  • What June keeps for you. Calendar entries, lists, reminders, carpool rotations and notes that June creates or maintains at your request.

Information we get from other people

Because June is shared, other people may tell June about you before you have ever texted us, for example when your partner mentions you, or when someone in a group thread adds you to a carpool rotation. We use that information only to help the person who shared it. June does not text you unless you have texted June first.

If you'd rather not take part, text STOP to the number and we will stop messaging you and remove you from that thread's context.

Information collected automatically

  • Message metadata from our messaging provider: the numbers involved, timestamps, delivery status, and which thread a message belongs to.
  • Website logs when you visit our site: IP address, browser type, pages viewed. We do not run advertising or cross-site tracking on this site.

How we use information

  • To answer your messages and do the things you ask June to do.
  • To maintain your family's shared calendars, lists and reminders, and to send reminders at the right time.
  • To read material you forward and extract dates, deadlines and requirements.
  • To connect your partner and any other family members you ask us to add.
  • To keep a carpool or other group thread's plan straight, including who has driven and whose turn is next.
  • To keep the service running, investigate problems, prevent abuse, and enforce our terms.
  • To comply with legal obligations.

Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, our legal bases are: performance of our contract with you (running the service you asked for), our legitimate interests (keeping the service secure and working, and improving it), your consent where we ask for it, and compliance with legal obligations.

Shared threads: who sees what

This is the part of June most worth understanding, because June is deliberately not a private, single-person assistant.

Your family thread

A household is one shared context. Both partners see everything June says in the family thread, and either of you can ask June about something the other told her. That's the point: it's what stops things from slipping. But it does mean you should not treat the family thread as private from your partner.

Group threads with other families

When you add June to a carpool thread, a neighborhood thread or any other group, she keeps track of that thread using only what belongs to that thread. Your family's calendars, lists, reminders and notes are never used to answer there and never displayed there.

The reverse is also true: anything said in a group thread is visible to every participant in it, and June may use it to keep that group's plan straight. Don't send something in a carpool thread that you only want your family to see.

People who haven't texted June

A group thread may include people who haven't texted June. Their messages may still reach us; we use them only to keep that group's plan straight, and never to build a profile of them or to market to them. June does not send messages to a group until every participant has opted in by texting June directly. Any participant can text STOP to opt out.

June can't un-send a message. Once she has replied in a thread, everyone in that thread can see it. Before you send something sensitive, check which thread you're in.

Children

June is for adults 18 and over. Kids can't text June or use her directly at this time.

Keeping a family organized usually means keeping track of the kids, though, so parents and other adults in a household may tell June about their children (names, ages, schedules, activities, school and carpool details) or forward material that mentions them. We use children's information only to help the adults who shared it.

  • We keep only what you choose to share with June about your children, plus what appears in material you forward.
  • We do not show advertising based on children's information, and we do not sell or share it.
  • A parent can review, export, correct or delete their children's information by asking June or emailing us.
  • We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from a child under 13. If a child texts June, we won't use the conversation to help them, and if we learn we have collected a child's information this way, we delete it promptly.
  • If we later let kids use June themselves, we'll update this policy first, and a parent will need to set it up and consent.

If you believe a child's information has been collected without the right consent, email hello@junehelp.com and we will investigate.

AI processing

June uses large language models to understand what you've written and to draft replies. To do that, we send the relevant parts of your messages and your family's stored context to our AI providers.

  • Our AI providers act as our processors. They are contractually limited to handling your information on our instructions and for the purpose of returning a response to us.
  • We do not permit our AI providers to use your messages to train their general-purpose models.
  • We may use aggregated or de-identified information (information that no longer identifies you or your family) to measure and improve how June works.
  • Where a person on our team needs to look at real conversations to diagnose a problem or check quality, access is restricted to staff who need it and is logged.

June can be wrong. She is a tool for keeping track of logistics, not a source of medical, legal, financial or safety advice, and you should confirm anything that matters.

Who we share information with

Other people in your threads
As described in section 5. This is the main way information moves, and it's the one you control by choosing what to send where.
Service providers
Companies that run parts of the service for us: our messaging and SMS delivery provider, cloud hosting and storage, our AI providers, and error monitoring. They may only use your information to provide services to us.
Legal and safety
We may disclose information if we're legally required to, or where we believe in good faith that it's necessary to protect someone's safety, investigate fraud or abuse, or enforce our terms.
Business transfers
If we're involved in a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, your information may transfer as part of that. We will tell you before your information becomes subject to a materially different privacy policy.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.

Messaging terms and consent

  • By texting June at (415) 324-2173, you consent to receive text messages from June related to the service. Our full messaging terms are in our Terms of Service.
  • Message frequency varies with how much you use June and how many reminders you've asked for.
  • Message and data rates may apply. Your carrier's charges are between you and your carrier.
  • Text STOP to opt out at any time, or HELP for help.
  • June only texts people who have texted June first. We never start messaging a phone number just because someone else shared it with us.
  • Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
  • No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes (see section 8).

How long we keep information

June is useful because she remembers, so we keep your family's context for as long as your family is using the service.

  • Your family's stored context (calendars, lists, reminders, who's who) is kept until you delete it or stop using June.
  • After an account is closed or a deletion request is verified, we delete or de-identify personal information within 30 days, except where we must keep it longer.
  • Message and delivery logs are kept for up to 12 months for security, abuse prevention and debugging.
  • Backups are purged on a rolling cycle, so deleted information may persist in backups for a short period after deletion.
  • We keep information longer where a legal obligation or a legal hold requires it.

Your choices and rights

  • Stop messages. Text STOP to any June number.
  • Ask June to forget something. You can tell her to drop a specific entry, list or reminder.
  • Remove June from a thread. Remove her the way you'd remove any participant, and she stops processing that thread.
  • Get a copy, correct it, or delete it. Email hello@junehelp.com, or ask June directly from the phone number you use with June.

We verify requests using the phone number they come from, or by a confirmation text to the number on file. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights.

California residents have the right to know what we collect, to delete it, to correct it, to opt out of sale or sharing (we do neither), and to limit the use of sensitive personal information. You may use an authorised agent.

People in the EEA, UK and Switzerland have the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection, and the right to complain to your local supervisory authority. Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time without affecting processing already carried out.

Security

We encrypt information in transit and at rest, restrict internal access to staff who need it, and review those controls regularly. No system is perfectly secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security.

SMS is not end-to-end encrypted. Text messages pass through mobile carriers and their systems before reaching us, and we can't protect them on that leg. Please don't send June government ID numbers, passwords, or payment card numbers. She never needs them.

Where information is processed

We are based in the United States and process information there. If you are outside the United States, using June means your information is transferred to and processed in a country whose data protection laws may differ from your own. Where required, we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses or another approved transfer mechanism.

Changes to this policy

We'll update this page when our practices change and revise the "last updated" date at the top. If a change materially affects how we handle your family's information, we'll tell you in a text message before it takes effect.
